Anderson Secures $612,516 in Grants for Local Projects
September 15, 2026
HARRISBURG – State Rep. Marc Anderson (R-York) has secured $612,516 in Local Share Account (LSA) grant funding for a local infrastructure project and equipment purchase in the 92nd District.
“Our local municipalities are tasked with a great deal of management and upkeep within their boundaries that often come with a large price tag. I was glad I was able to advocate for funding to help resolve a flooding issue in Lewisberry Borough and assist in the purchase of a needed dump truck/snowplow for Newberry Township,” said Anderson. “This funding does not use taxpayer dollars and will be put to good use for the improved safety of all residents who live in and travel through these municipalities.”
The following were awarded grants:
• Lewisberry Borough – $329,434 for improved stormwater management along South Street. The project will improve storm sewers along South Street from East Front Street to Fourth Street, and include erosion control, additional inlets, reconstruction of the streets and improved grass shoulder swales.
• Newberry Township - $283,082 to purchase a new dump truck equipped with a dump body, snowplow, spreader and associated hydraulics.
The grants were approved and awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which was established as an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth. LSA grants are derived from gaming revenues.
